Re: Jaguar's AJ-V8 for LPG
I have found out from http://www.jeengineering.co.uk that the Lovato SGI was specifically designed for the normally aspirated AJ-V8 and for the reason is the ideal system to use - only problem £2800 fitted. Any comment?

Slight small of Gas?
I have noticed a very slight smell of gas a few mins after start up and BEFORE the LPG system kicks in automatically. As soon as it kicks in the smell disappears completely. It has only happended twice - once today and once about 1 week ago?

Re: Jaguar's AJ-V8 for LPG
A friend with a Range Rover has recommended a firm in South Wales that use a Polish system and having looked at it its VERY neat (injectors under engine cover and no external wires) and he has never had any problems or warning lights and they fit it in one day: http://www.professautogas.co.uk/ The s...

Re: Jaguar's AJ-V8 for LPG
Kinda.. what Prins (and other modern sequential injection systems) do/does is act as a 'slaved' system. It has it's own ECU which follows the petrol ECU signal. The 'slaved' ECU is mapped and tweaked to certain parameters to suit the LPG but never to go out of range of the general parameters (such ...

Re: Jaguar's AJ-V8 for LPG
Is Prins the only way to go then?
I have a BRS on my BMW engined RR V8 and a friend has a RR V8 with a Polish system that is VERY neatly fitted and has given him Zero problems in 12 months for £1400 (Cardiff based)
It specifically the AJ-V8 that I was hoping for opinion on?

Jaguar's AJ-V8 for LPG
Hi, I have just purchased a 2005 Range rover with Jaguar's AJ-V8 engine and want to convert to LPG/Duel Fuel.
Please advise best system for this engine and any factors that may be relevant to a 300 BHP Jaguar AJ-V8 ?

Re: Range Rover BRC ECU Faults
Mak, Much appreciated help.
I ran the car on Petrol for three days and eventually (after 3.5 days & about 100 miles) the light came on with same codes so I guess its not LPG.
Leaves me with Intake/Exhaust leaks or the Cats are gone but why 3 days/100 miles before the ECU lights up?
