Re: NGK BKR6EIX or NGK BKR6EIX-LPG
The Mis-fire returned a couple of weeks ago........traced it down to a couple of coil packs gone south....... While trying to diagnose the problem, I fitted a set of BOSCH Super 4's...........what a crap plug.......... Mis-fired like a three legged horse in reverse. Going back to NGK BKR6EIX...........

Re: NGK BKR6EIX or NGK BKR6EIX-LPG
Hi Jag
I also noticed that the plugs that came out were "loose", so to speak.
Think I might check after a couple of thousand miles, to check tightness.
That said, better a loose plug than a siezed / really tight one...........

Re: Advice on viewing a car with LPG...
Thanks for the reply whitetop. The car had a normal service 3,500 miles back. I've checked with my insurer and it only adds £30 to my policy having LPG fitted to this car. I'm based in Worcestershire, but the car is in Leicestershire. I guess on average I do around 10,000 miles, which I understand ...

Re: Advice on viewing a car with LPG...
Hello everyone, Recently I've become interested in buying a car with LPG, mainly so I can get a car with a bigger engine and keep running costs down! I've found one that has had LPG for over 70,000 miles which makes me think it should be OK (Total of just over 100k). It's a Jaguar with a BRC system...

Re: NGK BKR6EIX or NGK BKR6EIX-LPG
Fitted the LPG version of the plug and car is running perfectly. The plugs that came out were normal looking as regards burn issues....light brownish...... The only things I noticed was that they had a little more carbon buld up around the centre insulaton than I would have expected and the iridium ...

Re: NGK BKR6EIX or NGK BKR6EIX-LPG
Cheers Mak I was thinking pretty much the same as you, that they were the same. Phoned NGK and they tell me that basically they are very similar but the LPG plugs have a stronger core to give a better spark to ignite LPG. They also have a more heavy duty insulation around the cetral electrode. He as...

NGK BKR6EIX or NGK BKR6EIX-LPG
Hi all.... Currently have BKR6EIX fitted to my 2001 BMW 525i (M54). Fitted for about 35k miles. Over the last week or so I have had a very noticable mis-fire while running on gas. It feels like it is running on 5 cyls. I am also getting a EML warning on gas. It is so bad, that I cannot use the gas. ...
