Re: Platinum vs Standard plugs

Just for the record, I've been using NGK Iridiums for a year or so now without any problems. I have had one misfire which shut the engine into service mod (pretty scary on a motorway!) but I think that was a coil having a wobbly moment - hasn't happened since.

Re: Help with EVO Turbo LPG

I wouldn't recommend running LPG just at low (off boost) revs... takes the whole advantage out of having LPG in the first place. My lil old Nissan used to rev to 7000rpm at 17psi without any problems on LPG, although the 'standard' BRC injectors were completely max'ed out! I agree with Mak that it's...

Re: Water injection as alternative to flashlube

It's not a matter of cooling, more of lubing.

Water injection is great for cooling intake tempretures for turbo installations, but it's not going to do anything for valve recession.

Re: what happens with lpg on a car with a ecu remap?

There should be no problems at all with an ECU remap with your current LPG system PROVIDED it was over-specc'ed in the first place. When I had my Nissan converted I asked that it be capable of handling 300bhp (the car at the time was more like 270bhp). Then, later on I had the petrol injectors chang...

Re: Conversion on 2003 BMW 745i...Hope someone can help!

Cheers Mak, I plan to keep the car for a minimum of 5 years so I'm not overly worried about Alpina enthusiasts as they don't seem to buy aging models so much. I've spoken to Keither Woods (Woody) regarding installation and am happy he knows what he's doing on these cars. Hopefully, once I have had B...

Re: Conversion on 2003 BMW 745i...Hope someone can help!

Sorry to bump this old thread chaps, but I'm interested to know more about how the OBC plays with an LPG conversion. I'm assuming it thinks it's doing 'infinite' MPG as it's travelling yet seemingly not using any fuel?! Or does it calculate this MPG on injector pulses which are replicated by the LPG...

Re: Rover 420 Conversion , "The Hard Way".

 where's the clapping hands icon when you need it? That's simply awesome fabrication work Mark, FAR better quality install than my setup. I'm starting to think my car was thrown together even though it performs OK. Nice idea with the filter too, the bigger the better too I guess. The filter I...

Re: Changing the homepage?

Sorry, can't help with the PHP stuff... I'm a windows admin by trade, so anything not system based I know a 'little bit' of. I'd of used vBulliten by choice - cracking software! :) (my friend owns a hosting company so can help out (i.e. £5 a month odd) for bandwidth, storage space, forum, database e...

Changing the homepage?

Hey Admin, I know you've had issues with your Beemer I seem to recall a few phone calls chatting about it before you got it sorted..? Glad it's all good now! Anyway, to make this a happy and used resource for LPG it might be worth while changing the homepage so that it give general information rathe...

Re: Nissan 200sx S14a

Hey Mark :) I used the std. airbox which uses a panel filter as I was concerned about cold air getting into the turbo. Under the bonnet get VERY hot on a run, so an normal induction kit would just be drawing in this heat - although, granted I have a huuuge intercooler to reduce the tempretures again...
