Removing lpg tank

Hi, Anybody removed an lpg tank themselves?

My X5 battery is playing up and of course it's underneath the lpg tank!. Have been quoted £280 to remove it which seems excessive to me given it is only a half hour job - noted they are qualified to do this sort of thing but if the tank just needs to be sealed and remove the connections then how hard is it?. I watched the tank being removed once before and it seemed straight forward but it was 5 years ago!

Any suggestions greatfully received.

Cheers
Jabba.
