smell gas in car

HI GUYS

WELL HEARS ONE FOR YOU,
WHEN I PUT MY HEATER ON, I GET A STRONG SMELL OF GAS THROUGHT THE VENTS.
IT DOES NOT LAST LONG, BUT ITS WORRYING.
THE CAR HAS BEEN BACK TO THE GAS BLOKE THAT MANY TIMES ABOUT IT HE'S LOST.
THE CAR IS A BMW 318. 2LTR

I had it happen once in my car. It turned out to be a faulty gas regulator diaphram. It caused an occasional back fire and a stink of LPG inside the car when it happened. I got the regulator replaced and its been ok Since.
